moisture being ushered into the state. we have a flash flood watch in effect from this afternoon through about midnight tonight with the potential for storms produccng heavy rain, could see rock and mudslides in the high country. be aware if a warning is issued, please be prepared to take the necessary action. across the front range, expecting the chance of storms isolated in nature, mostly cloudy through the morning and mp to low 80s. more on the seven- day forecast and when we'll warm back up, coming up in a few minutes. shocking new details about a shooting in downtown denver last week at 18th and market. the gunfight was much bigger than we thought. the d.a. said 200 rounds were fired and all those shots came from 18 different guns.

police say it's gang related. and this sketch is circulating. parker police say this is the man who tried to expose himself to two girls earlier this week. if you know who this is, call police. for the first time, denver police are talking to the denver 7 investigators about this video, showing one of the beatings on the 16th street mall. the commander of district 6 said overall crime is down on the mall compared to police also told us they did get there within about three minutes of the call but didn't make any arrests. >> a lot of people look at this arrested? why was no one >> we didn't have a victim that came forward. if we go there and had both parties involved, they would have been arrested. >> in july of this year, 134 people were arrested on the

some denverrneighborhoods say they are experiencing similar problems to the mall but say no one is paying attention. business owners saa they need a solution and some neighbors feel they are business owners met with police to work on a plan including extra patrols. they are also talking about closing a parking lot overnight to prevent crowds from gathering there. we have breaking news, an accident here, a crash involving a postal truck in

starting to clear up this area. there was a head-on collision that happened just after 5:30 a.m. involving a semi and an suv. we know the semitruck was a postal truck and we know the driver in the suv was traveling southbound this morning in the northbound lanes when it came into contact with that postal truck. we are told because of logistics they have not been able to remove just yet. you can see the suv suffered quite a bit of damage. that driver is in the hospital -?as we speak. a spokesperson said they see a fair amount of accidents on this road because in the dark hours it's not well lit. so they don't know what led to this and they are trying to figure out if alcohol played a role in this.

recovering this morning after a railing collapsed during a snoop dogg and wiz khalifa concert last night. witnesses say there was a lot of commotion following the collapse and then the concert was canceled. fortunately all the injuriess were minor. in france at least 13 people are dead and 6 others hurt after an accidental fire explosion in the basement and a birthday party was taking place at the time. the victims range in age 18 to 25. this morning dash cam video of a deadly shooting and the video is very dramatic. 18-year-old paul o'neil seen careening down the street, swiping a squad car.

to 2 inches of rainfall in about 45 minutes, so heavy storms could be produced later this afternoon and this evening. i'll show you the timing in a few minutes. our severe weather watch encompasses the southeast corner of the state, places like pueblo down to lamar. mostly the biggest risk with these storms are heavy rain and potential for localized flooding. mostly cloudy skies across the denver metro area through morning, very unsettled weather through the weekend and cooler conditions under a lot of that cloud cover, only expecting highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. by 9:30 this morning, we are picking up moisture and you already saw in the mountains that we are going to brace for storms around 1:30. as you see, this is traveling

. breaking now, one person is in the hospital after a crash this morning involving a postal truck. >> reporter: around 112th and tower right now, they are just getting ready to remove the postal truck. they took away an suv not long ago. we're told just after 5:30 a.m., an suv was traveling southbound in the northbound

trucc. -?it's taken a while to remove from the area because of logistics regarding the trucks. police are not simply able to move it out of the area. driving the suv is in the hospital. they were taken out of the suv using the jaws of life this morning. they have not released the condition of that driver yet. we're told the driver semi is okay this morning. coming down 112th and they are being redirected to chambers, then connecting to 104th. with a lot of traffic in this area because of people getting to the airport this morninn, if you're coming out here, it's blocked from 112th to 104th. you'll be redirected to

heavy thunderstorms, isolated shower. really across the front range and southwest, we are picking up that monsoon moisture, bringing in the rain we'll see this afternoon. when we are expecting a warmup, coming up in a few minutes. the search is on for the men who shot a driver on i-70 east of limon. the victim told investigators he was driving through kansas early yesterday morning when someone in a blue honda he was shot several times and is still recovering. police still don't have a motive. in lakewood, a man jumped from a moving car during a fight and died. he was found lying in the middle of garrison street and west 10th avenue wednesday night. the woman said the vehicle hit a power pole while she was trying to get control of it.

we're going to talk about kennel cough in dogs. she's a little nervous. >> she is. sse is a 4-year-old spayed female, been at the shelter about a month. her owner took a job on a cruise ship. and normally she is the most calm, mellow -- she just wants a comfy lap to settle in. she's kids, dogs. she's wonderful. >> she's fluffy. >> she is. she's got a nice long full tail. and she really is just a cuddler. >> she's doing a little better. >> she is. >> let's talk about kennel cough. it's not good when a dog gets it. >> no, it kind of varies. you know, this summer with dogs

we have seen more cases of kennel cough. so this is transmitted from dog to dog through the air, kind of like the common cold. but it gives them a cough like they're trying to get something out of their throat. it can be pretty incessant. they can cough so hard they cough up foam or even vomit sometimms. if you think you dog has kennee if that's what's going on, there's a couple things you can do. first thing, put a harness on your dog instead of a collaa, so you're not yanking on their throat and causing more irritation to the area. take your dog, put them in thee bathroom, get the hot shower running and just kind of steam them.

it was a different scene early this morning, even just about 15 minutes ago. police were still on the scene after a head-on collision just after 5:30 a.m. involving an suv and semi truck. we're told the suv was traveling southbound in the 3 northbound lane when it collided with that truck, which was actually a postal truck. it took police a little while to ggt th of specific postal logistics. we are told the driver of the suv is in the hospital and we have no information on his condition. police are investigating whether alcohol played a role in this. the semi truck driver is okay this morning. we watched another tractor carry the load of the postal

one person is in the hospital this morning after a crash involving a postal truck in commerce citt.

this morning. police say they get their fair share of accidents here on tower road because it is not well lit at night. around 5:30 a.m., an suv was traveling southbound in the northbound lane when it came into contact with that semi truck head-on. that was a postal truck and police were on the scene for that specific postal logistics didn't allow them to remove the truck from that area. the suv involved looked horrible and driver was taken from that vehicle with the jaws of life. that driver is in the hospital and we are unsure of his connition because police haven't released that yet. they are also investigating whether alcohol played a part in this crash.
